  1. so firstly – check, check, check!!!! my biggest faux pas a friend and I still HOWL over….. it was supposed to be SO INNOCENT….. as the story goes…. i was purchasing produce from farmer brown in Hudson Bay, SK who had a small business whereby he delivered fresh produce from his farm to those of us with a monthly contract ($50.00)…. never mind that if you have to travel 4 hours to provide radishes…. is there something missing here in the green movement….???? In any case, the product amount was always very lame and Farmer Brown always had some excuse as to why things were not working… either the chickens were not laying eggs, or there was a drought, or deer ate something…. all good and well EXCEPT , we were still paying the $50.00 per ‘box’ of produce…. His complaints grew. On the last e-mail he spoke the latest about why the produce was delayed or inadequate. Grandma X had died and a number of other things. Meanwhile, I had been keeping friend Paul appraised of the ongoing saga of the lame produce business I was involved with with Farmer Brown over the past couple of months. Wanting to share the latest with him, I wrote, “oh now grandma X died – cry me a river’ and a couple of other quite sarcastic things prior to hitting “REPLY” rather than ‘FORWARD”… A couple of days later, I received an e-mail from Farmer Brown saying that he was cancelling my contract because he didn’t think I understood the spirit of what I was trying to do. Feeling dis-ease, I called Paul to ask him if he’d received my ‘forward’. NOT….. omg…. to add burden to the faux pas – Farmer Brown forwarded my unempathic note to the rest of the ‘group’, which included my friends daughter in the Green Party…. Some things just have no words for recovery!

    • HI Vicki! Thanks for posting your story. It helps me to see that I am not alone and that we are all human and error-prone as a result. The importance is I guess how we grow from the experience. :)
